In 2001, Disneyland Park was joined by Disney's California Adventure. The new park featured versions of several Walt Disney World attractions including this 3-D movie.

In 1998, a new kind of Disney experience opened with Disney's Animal Kingdom. The centerpiece of the beautiful park was a giant tree which housed a 3-D film. Since the movie A Bug's Life had not debuted at theaters, it marked one of the few times a Disney attraction came out before the movie it was based on.

Trivia: What other attractions came before their movies? Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle was in place before the movie, and Countdown to Extinction at Disney's Animal Kingdom was designed to tie in to the movie Dinosaur. After Dino came out, the attraction was renamed to Dinosaur. Can you think of any others?
