(This is Volume 2. Volume 1 is also available.)

In case you didn't shoot all the video you wanted during your vacation to Walt Disney World's The Magic Kingdom, I have a DVD backup of some of my TMK home movies available. These home movies were made by me in 1999. They were taped on my Sony Digital8 camcorder and the transfer is 100% digital from the master tape to the DVD so the quality is first generation. This is not a bootleg dub of a dub or anything like that -- it is just some of my home movies copied to DVD-R. (NOTE: I use Apple brand DVD-R media that is certified for video use and not cheap generic discs that might not work.)

This DVD-R is playable on most consumer DVD players but be sure to check this compatibility list first to make sure your player can handle DVD-Rs: http://www.apple.com/dvd/compatibility. If your DVD player is not listed, you may not be able to play this disc unless you have a computer that can play DVDs.(Most computers with DVD-ROM drives should be able to play it just fine.)

This DVD features a full menu system with background music and animated buttons for the video clips. The disc is divided into sections and contains the following videos:

Adventureland

  1. Jungle Cruise (10:28) - The entire ride.
  2. Tiki Room: Under New Management (14:06) - The entire show, down to the last bit of audio before the show loop repeats and the doors close. (This includes one final tribute to the original 1960s version which many people never hear.)

Libery Square (Haunted Mansion)

  1. Stuck in the Graveyard (4:00) - Four minutes of video from in front of the graveyard band during a time when the ride stopped. Night Vision is used to peek around the area.
  2. Full Ride in Night Vision (7:46) - The entire ride done using Night Vision with the camera peeking around.
  3. Outside (2:20) - A few minutes looking around the outside of the Mansion.

Tomorrowland

  1. Buzz Lightyear (8:07) - The entire ride and much of the queue/preshow.
  2. Sonny Eclipse (3:39) - A few songs by Sonny over at the Tomorrowland eatery.
  3. Space Mountain Queue (6:06) - A walkthru of the queue and loading area of Space Mountain (but nothing from the ride).

(There is also a secret DVD-ROM directory which contains all 1255 digital pictures I have taken at the park from 1996-1999.)

Most of the ride thrus feature parts of the queue and/or pre-show. The quality is what you might expect from someone who takes a camera on the rides. Bright rides are bright and darker rides are dark, of course, but the stereo audio is good. Once again, check my feedback page to get some opinions on how the video quality is.

The disc will just be a DVD-R in a standard jewel case with the title hand written in marker. This is nothing fancy -- it is just a copy of my home movies made available to those who might have wanted to tape certain attractions but were unable to.

The disc will be shipped Priority Mail ($3.85 shipping) as soon as it is paid for. I will also throw in, by request, a CD-R containing small QuickTime movies of all my other home videos (featuring movies from Disneyland, The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney/MGM Studios and the Disneyland Haunted Mansion Holiday).
