6:18 PM - 2009 Hassle-Free Walt Disney World Vacation (book) (posted by Allen )
Today I received my copy of the 2008 edition of Steve Barrett's "Hassle-Free Guide to Walt Disney World." I've mentioned this book in the past, and even featured it on one of my Park Hopping Podcast episodes. As soon as I have a moment (after Halloween is over), I'll dig in to the book and post my thoughts on the updated edition.

Amusingly, the press release says of the author: "Barret, who knows Walt Disney World like the back of his hand thanks to two decades of weekly visits to the 'Happiest Place on Earth'(r)"...which I have always associated with Disneyland in California. I was pretty sure the Florida project was called "The Happiest Place in the World" (to tie in the world definition) -- at least, that's how I remember it from my visits in the 70s and 80s. So, as soon as I saw that, I immediately thought about my upcoming visit to the California original.

So, more details as soon as I have a chance to absorb this edition.

5:10 PM - High School Musical 3: Senior Year (posted by JohnPaul )
Well, it looks like the third installment of one of the biggest musicals of all time will be rolling in to theaters this weekend. (The first two were made-for-TV on the Disney Channel, I believe.) Here's a trailer:

7:39 PM - Chihuahua! (posted by Allen )
BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA is the story of Chloe (voice of DREW BARRYMORE), a diamond-clad, bootie wearing Beverly Hills Chihuahua enjoying her luxurious lifestyle so much, she hardly notices Papi (voice of GEORGE LOPEZ), a hilarious Chihuahua who happens to be crazy for Chloe. But when the most pampered pooch gets lost in Mexico with only a street-wise German Shepherd (voice of ANDY GARCIA) to help her find her way home, Papi heads south of the border -- joining forces with a motley crew: three dogs (voices of PLÁCIDO DOMINGO, LUIS GUZMAN and EDDIE “PIOLIN” SOTELO), two humans (PIPER PERABO, MANOLO CARDONA), a sly rat (voice of CHEECH MARIN) and a nervous iguana (voice of PAUL RODRIGUEZ) – to rescue his true love.

6:35 PM - Miracle at St. Anna - movie info! (posted by Allen )
Disney PR is dropping by various Disney fan related sites to ask for us to get the word out for a new movie. Here are the details:

Directed by Spike Lee from a screenplay written by James McBride, the author of the acclaimed novel of the same name, the film chronicles the story of four African-American soldiers who are members of the U.S. Army as part of the all-black 92nd Buffalo Soldier Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy, during World War II. They experience the tragedy and triumph of the war as they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy.

MIRACLE AT ST. ANNA explores a deeply inspiring story that transcends national boundaries, race and class to touch the goodness within us all.

For more information about MIRACLE AT ST. ANNA, please visit the official site at http://www.miraclemovie.com. The film is in theaters on Friday, September 26, 2008!
