The canoes still circle Tom Sawyer Island making them one of the oldest attractions at Disneyland.

Trivia: This attracion was originally part of the Indian Village at Disneyland and was called the Indian War Canoes.

Trivia: The canoes are the only non-powered attraction at Disneyland. It is also one of the only rides that doesn't run on a guide system or track. Other non-tracked attractions include the Main Street vehicles and the rafts to Tom Sawyer Island.
